The Effect of Galilean Non-Invariance in Lattice Gas Automaton One-Dimensional Flow

Abstract
In the simple case of one-dimensional flow between plates, we show the effect of Galilean non-invariance of the usual hexagonal lattice gas mode. This effect leads to a distorted velocity profile when the velosity exceeds a value of 0.4. Higher-order corrections to the Navier-Stokes equations are considered in a discussion of the numerical importance of the distortion.
